Copyright (C) 1999-2017 by the original authors. Original source and author/revision history: https://github.com/freedict/fd-dictionaries/tree/master/eng-ara https://raw.githubusercontent.com/freedict/fd-dictionaries/master/eng-ara/eng-ara.tei License: GNU General Public License version 2 or, at your option, any later version. A full copy of GPL 2.0 is provided in GPL-2.0.txt. This component is distributed WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Modifications for this distribution: - Selected 12,000 existing reference headwords, including inflected forms. - Lowercased headwords; normalised whitespace; removed selected names, abbreviations and profanity; limited unusually long and duplicate glosses. - Replaced meanings of 391 selected common headwords with corrections listed in dictionary-corrections.txt. Not every source entry has been linguistically reviewed. - Added reference-only metadata and interface descriptions. The preferred editable form of the selected dictionary data is 'dictionary-source.json'. Each entry contains word, glosses and a correction flag. The selected dictionary component remains available under GPL-2.0-or-later. Entry selection used: Allison Parrish, wordfreq-en-25000, derived from wordfreq by Robyn Speer and contributors. Frequency data: Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0. https://github.com/aparrish/wordfreq-en-25000 https://github.com/rspeer/wordfreq https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ The wordfreq README bundled here preserves the source's attribution and caveats. Selection was filtered as described above; ranking values are not displayed or used as CEFR classifications. To the extent the filtered selection/order is a licensed adaptation of the frequency list, it is offered under CC BY-SA 4.0. Separate authored course materials: The bilingual lessons, conversations, practical examples and writing tasks were prepared for Atqin English. Reading passages intentionally recombine their unit examples. Review expression lists and exercises intentionally reuse course texts. Exercise counts count canonical questions, not each appearance in an exam. Raw external dictionary translations are excluded from the course question bank. Levels are instructional groupings; not a claim of official CEFR certification. No full independent teacher review is claimed.
