I assumed the workshop was open to visitors because a friend had attended the previous event. However, the organisers had changed the registration process for this session. They had sent a notice, but I had overlooked it among several other messages. At the entrance, a volunteer explained the situation politely. I apologised and asked whether there was a waiting list. Luckily, someone had cancelled that morning, so a place was available.
