Practical examples

The lights are on, so someone must still be working in the office. The meeting might have finished later than expected. However, we cannot tell who is inside just by looking at the windows. The cleaner could be there, or a colleague may have returned for a file. The office cannot be completely empty if we can hear people talking. We should check with reception instead of treating a guess as a fact.
