Practical examples
Only after we observed the process in practice did we understand why users were struggling. The written instructions had appeared clear when reviewed in isolation. Not until a new colleague attempted the task did the missing step become obvious. We had assumed that the required folder would already be open. Once that assumption was removed, the explanation became much easier to follow. The revised guide now includes the starting point as well as the final action.
