A message to a close colleague might begin, "Could you send me the updated schedule when you have a moment?" A first message to an external contact may need a brief introduction before making the same request. The added context explains who is writing and why the document is needed. Greater formality does not require replacing clear words with unnecessarily complicated ones. In both versions, the requested action and any relevant deadline should remain easy to identify. The relationship changes the framing of the message more than its essential meaning.
