Text and translation

"Thank you for explaining your proposal" acknowledges the explanation but does not necessarily endorse the proposal itself. In a professional exchange, courtesy often precedes a question, a reservation or a refusal. Treating the courteous opening as approval would therefore misrepresent the response. The relevant evidence lies in what the speaker agrees to do or accept afterwards. If the next step remains ambiguous, a specific confirmation is more useful than reading agreement into a polite phrase. A summary can record that the proposal was received while leaving its approval status open.
