Text and translation

A sentence that asks a team to "build a bridge while keeping the project on track" combines two different images. Such combinations are not always confusing, but several competing images can burden a short explanation. The writer should decide whether either metaphor contributes something that direct language would lose. If the aim is simply to improve coordination without delaying delivery, that can be stated plainly. Precision may require retaining one image, explaining it or removing both. The reader's understanding is a better test than the apparent colourfulness of the wording.
