Checking whether two formulations are equivalent

Text and translation

"You can use the room after the workshop ends" and "you can use the room this afternoon" are not necessarily equivalent. The first makes availability conditional on an event, while the second appears to specify a broader time period. If the workshop runs late, the practical difference becomes important. A precise reformulation would preserve the condition and add the expected finishing time separately. We can test the wording by asking whether a reader could reasonably act differently on the two versions. If so, the change may have altered the meaning rather than merely the expression.
