Attendance fell after the workshop moved to an earlier time, but the programme also changed at the same point. The decline could reflect the less convenient schedule, reduced interest in the new topics or a combination of both. The sequence of events alone does not tell us which explanation carries more weight. Feedback from previous participants could help distinguish a timing problem from a change in interest. A comparison with a similar session at the original time would provide another useful perspective. The most defensible explanation is the one that accounts for the pattern while surviving relevant checks.
